BorderMaker
There are several things I liked about the Semantica Groep B.V.-developed application BorderMaker. Taking a progressive look at my BorderMaker experience, here are all the things I liked about the application.
The first thing I liked is that getting the application off the web and onto my Windows-powered computer only took a moment. I’ve said it before and I will say it again: I don’t particularly like to wait for a download that takes forever to complete. It was not the case with BorderMaker; the 2.3Mb download completed in a blink.
The next thing I liked is that installing the application on my Windows-powered computer took little time as well. With all this talk about Windows you may be tempted to think that the Microsoft-developed operating system is the only one BorderMaker provides support for. You would be wrong to think so. Border maker is a Java-based cross-platform application. It works on Windows and Mac OS X and Linux.
Once BorderMaker was up and running, I liked several things about it. First up, I liked the functionality this application has to offer. Here’s what you can do with this app (a list, to keep things short):
- Resize images.
- Add frames to photos.
- Add text and watermarks to photos.
- Upload photos to a FTP server.
The fact that using BorderMaker is a fairly straightforward process is another thing I liked about this application. To get a better idea of what it’s like to use BorderMaker, you can check out this YouTube video.
Last but definitely not least, I liked that BorderMaker is offered free of charge. If you want to enjoy the functionality this application has to offer you can get it and use it for as long as you want, all without having to part with your hard earned money. But if you like the application and want to support its development, consider making a donation to the developer.
To sum it, up, BorderMaker is a free, easy to use application that you can use to resize images, add frames to images, add text and watermarks to images, and upload photos to a FTP location. You should definitely give it a try.
